WWII 5th Infantry Division Private’s Ike Jacket

The olive drab wool Ike jacket carries “U.S.” and Infantry branch disks on the collar, with the lapels bearing the distinctive unit insignia of the 10th Infantry Regiment. On the upper left breast is a Combat Infantry Badge above a plastic covered ribbon bar with ribbons reflecting service in the European Theater. Below the ribbon bar is an expert marksman badge with “Rifle” bar, as well as an unnamed slot brooch Bronze Star medal with its ribbon bar. Both sleeves have the rank chevrons of a Private First Class, with the left shoulder having the patch of the 5th Infantry Division. The lower left sleeve has two overseas service chevrons. The interior pocket retains the manufacturer tag with a stated size of 36 Regular. The lower front of the jacket has a small hole on the right side, but overall the jacket is quite clean and in very good condition.
