A heavy lensatic compass, with largely intact olive drab paint. The back is marked to the “U.S.E.D.” (U.S. Engineers Department), designated as the Creagh-Osborne Marching Compass, Mark VII, Model E, manufactured by the Sperry Gyroscope Company of Brooklyn, New York. The interior disk turns freely, but exhibits tarnish and corrosion. The viewing optic on the narrow end of the compass is cloudy.
