WWI Privately Tailored First Army 23rd Engineers Uniform with Tunic and Breeches

The wool tunic has a “US 23” collar disk as well as a collar disk for Company G of the 23rd Engineers. On the left shoulder is a multi piece wool patch for an Engineer unit of the First Army. The lower left sleeve has two gold bullion overseas chevrons. The front of the tunic is missing a button. The tunic shows spots an a few tiny holes on the rear. The interior exhibits holes to the lining as well as a separation of the lining at the collar. The breeches are lacking a total of five closure buttons on the lower legs. Both the tunic and the breeches show signs of wear, but overall the uniform is in very good condition.
