WWI Period U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman’s Visor Cap

The wool visor cap is in the period pillbox style, with blue wool body which is generally clean and without holes or tracking. The mohair band remains tight. The front of the cap displays a toned bullion anchor and chinstrap showing some wear, while the surface of the visor has typical age crazing. The interior leather sweatband remains supple and intact. The interior crown bears the designation of “MIDSHIPMEN’S STORE U.S.N.A.”. Overall very good condition.
