WWI Model 1914 Imperial Prussian Hannoverian Jaeger Battalion No. 10 Ersatz Shako

The shako is constructed of pressed rabbit felt and displays the front plate of the 10th Prussian Hannoverian Jaeger Battalion number 10.  The battalion front plate displays the battle honors of Waterloo, Penninsula, Vent, and Del Pozo. The enlisted ranks cockade is on the top front of the shako, and the fabric chin strap is in place across the front visor. The shako lacks the cockades. The full liner, with drawstring, is intact on the interior. There are some small spots of loss of felt, which are not particularly noticeable. Overall the shako is in excellent condition, showing signs of age, use, and field wear, but making an impressive appearance.
