WWI Imperial German Oldenburg Officer Field Gray Visor Cap

The cap is constructed of field gray wool with red piping and a black velvet cap band. The peak displays the national colors officer cockade, while the velvet cap band bears the officer cockade of Oldenburg. The surface of the visor shows age crazing. There are a number of bites to the red piping, primarily around the lower base. The leather sweatband is present, showing age and wear but being intact. The full interior lining is also present, with stains and a separation. The visor cap shows a fine shape and it makes a very good appearance.
