WWI German Soldier’s Personal Cooking Stove

$275.00

A small, personal cooking stove, called the “Warmeofen” (literally, “warm oven”), manufactured by the firm of Anton Reiche A.G. of Dresden (a metal fabrication company that was apparently best known for its chocolate molds). The device is 4 1/4 inches in diameter by 2 inches deep. The unit is compact, and comes apart to create a small cook stove and pot. The exterior is painted field gray. The piece also comes with a small piece of newsprint that contains a portion of an advertisement for the device (which is spelled “Warmofen” in the advertisement by “Warmeofen” in the impressed wording on the unit itself). The device was obviously used, but it remains in very good to excellent condition, with approximately 90% of its exterior field gray paint intact.
