The large glass plate is approximately 10 inches in diameter. The plate features portraits of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph in the center. The plate bears the statement of “Wir wollen sein ein einig Volk von Brüdern, in keiner Not uns trennen und Gefahr” (“We want to be one united people of brothers, in no distress to separate us and danger”). The plate shows scratches and some casting flaws.
