WWI German “Nahkampfer” Fighting Knife

The knife has an overall length of approximately 10-1/4 inches, with a blade length of approximately 5 inches. The blade is generally bright, showing typical spots and scratches. The blade bears the etched design of an advancing soldier with the name of “Nahkampfer”. The upper edge of the blade has a small semi-circular chip that is approximately 1/4 of an inch long. The knife has a stag grip that is without chips or cracks. The leather scabbard exhibits signs of age, with some paint loss to the base fitting, but the scabbard is complete and intact.
