The model 1916 combat helmet retains approximately 70 percent of the exterior field gray paint. The helmet has a very small hole that was punched into the rear at the lower edge of the helmet rim. The interior side of the helmet appears to have a faint manufacturer code which is largely obscured by interior paint. The helmet is lacking the liner, the liner band, and the chin strap.
