WWI German Fighting Knife by Anton Wingen


The bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 11-1/2 inches. The blade is generally gray, with spots and surface dirt. The blade bears the manufacturing mark of the firm of Anton Wingen, Jr. The grip plates are without chips or cracks, although one of the grip plates has a small hole just above the guard. The guard shows some speckling and verdigris. The pommel exhibits speckling, grime, and some loss of plating. The scabbard shows a loss of the black paint and surface rust. The leather hanger shows wear and age, and the cross strap is broken.
