WWI German Bronze Apothecary Mortar and Pestle Marked “Pro Patria 1914-1916”

The bronze mortar is approximately 4-3/4 inches tall, with a top diameter of approximately 5 inches. The pestle is approximately 7-1/2 inches long. The mortar bears the relief slogan of “Pro Patria” on one side and the dates of “1914-1916” on the opposite side. Both the mortar and pestle have a dark and uncleaned patina.
