The group, as found and presently unattributed, consists of the following items:
– A World War I era unnamed U.S. Army Distinguished Service Cross, full wrap brooch, numbered 16533;
– A first issue unnamed Silver Star, split brooch suspension, numbered 32144, with the rear of the suspension marked “BBB Co Phila”, reflecting manufacture by the firm of Bailey, Banks & Biddle Company of Philadelphia;
– A World War II era Purple Heart, slot brooch suspension, unnumbered and unnamed;
– The single distinctive insignia of the 51st Regiment of the New York National Guard, pin back, maker marked by M.S. Bowman of New York City;
– Screw back New York National Guard collar disk;
– World War II era New York National Guard patch; and
– World War II era 42nd Division patch.
The medals show expected signs of age, but all of the items are in very good condition.
