WWI Camouflaged British Brodie Helmet with the Painted Insignia of the U.S. Army 59th Pioneer Infantry Regiment

The exterior sand infused finish is largely intact, with the helmet having been camouflaged with areas of green, brown, red and yellow. The front of the helmet bears the painted insignia of the 59th Pioneer Infantry Regiment, while the rear of the helmet shows the painted insignia of the Second Army. The liner is present on the interior, and the leather chin strap is intact. The interior rim has a manufacturer code of “D/A 94”, indicating production by the firm of James Dixon & Sons using steel provided by Edgar Allen and Co. Ltd. Overall the helmet is in very good field used condition.
