WWI Air Service Identified Overseas Pilot Tunic

Wool tunic in excellent condition exhibiting a few small holes only. Collar displays a matching pair of officer’s Air Service and matching “US” insignia. Matching Captains bars pinned on each shoulder strap. On the left breast is pinned a pair of pin-on bullion embroidered pilots wing in fine condition and with excellent detail. Lower left sleeve shows 2 gold bullion overseas service chevrons. Interior has wear at the sleeve linings and a patch on the right breast. Lightly inked in the pocket ” Daniel P. Morse”. Daniel P. Morse served in, and wrote the history of the 50th Aero Squadron.
