WWI 79th Division Infantry Private First Class Khaki Uniform

The uniform is comprised of the khaki tunic and breeches. The collar has “U.S.” and infantry company “F” disks. The left shoulder has a 79th Division patch, embroidered on wool, with the patch showing wear and a small hole in the blue wool field. On the lower left sleeve are two gold tape overseas chevrons above a black velvet trapezoid of unknown significance. On the right sleeve is the wool chevron of a Private First class that was sewn on upside down. The tunic shows spots and signs of wear. The khaki breeches similarly show signs of wear and use but they are without damage.  Overall the uniform is in very good used condition.
