WWI 2nd Division 15th F.A. Rgt. Painted M1917 Helmet

A World War I Model 1917 combat helmet which has on the front the painted insignia of the 2-15th Field Artillery Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Division. The painted insignia is approximately 90% intact. Much of the rough textured exterior finish was worn smooth by wear in the field, but the original exterior brown paint is approximately 70% intact. The interior liner is partially complete. The chin strap is missing.
