WWI 27th Division Medical Private’s Tunic

The olive wool tunic carries collar disks for the National Guard and for the Medical branch. The right sleeve shows the chevron of a Private First Class, while the left sleeve bears a red discharge chevron and a single gold bullion overseas service chevron. On the left shoulder is a “Liberty Loan” style patch of the 27th Division. On the breast of the tunic is the ribbon of the world War I Victory Medal with a single campaign star. Pinned to the tunic is a “Welcome Home” ribbon for the 107th Infantry Regiment of the 27th Division. The tunic retains the contractor label underneath the hem of the lining. Overall the tunic is very clean and without holes, damage or repairs.
