WWI 1st Battalion 12th Field Artillery 2nd Division Painted M1917 Combat Helmet

The exterior painted textured finish on the helmet is essentially intact, showing typical scuffs and scratches. The front of the helmet bears the painted insignia of the 1st Battalion of the 12th Field Artillery of the 2nd Division. The liner is intact. The leather chin strap is present, but it separated on one side and was retained in place with a piece of wire. Overall the helmet is in very good field used condition.
