WWI 168th Aero Squadron Aircraft Insignia

The 168th Aero Squadron (Observation) was formed in December, 1917 and was an active unit of the American Expeditionary Force until June 1918. It was equipped with DH-4 Liberties. This piece of aircraft insignia measures 18 1/4″ X 19″, it was, at one time folded and shows paint looses along those folds and scattered losses, but the paint remains tight.
