WWI 11th Aero Squadron Trench Art Shell Casing

The brass shell casing is approximately 9 inches tall, with a base diameter of approximately 3-5/8 inches (90 mm). The shell casing has been decorated with a biplane, an anti aircraft shell burst, and the designation of “11th Aero Squadron” together with the “Mr. Jiggs” emblem of the squadron. The opposite side of the casing is etched with “A.E.F. 1918 France”. The base of the shell casing is marked and dated January of 1917. The casing shows uncleaned patina and it is in overall very good condition.
