Waffenrock of a Decorated Infantry NCO

A private purchase quality army dress tunic for a Wachtmeister (Sergeant-Major) of infantry. The tunic has a machine woven, flat wire aluminum thread breast eagle hand sewn to the tunic exterior. The shoulder straps have holes in the center areas indicating that they once displayed unit numbers which were removed in accordance with security regulations. There is a button beneath the right shoulder strap indicating that this NCO wore a marksmanship lanyard. On the left breast is a set of loops for a ribbon bar with an additional set of loops directly below them for a badge that carried a horizontal pin, such as a close combat bar. Below this are loops for the wear of two more decorations or badges. The uniform interior is fully lined. There is an internal closure belt as well as a slot in the left side of the tunic for the wear of a dagger or a sword. The tunic is quite clean and impressive, in overall excellent used condition.
