Gilt medal for the first class version but without the rosette on the ribbon that is supposed to be present on the first class example. This decoration is from a large collection of the medals of the Republic of Vietnam that was assembled during the Vietnam War. This listing includes several photographs of the collection, in which the medals were pinned to a large fabric display. This medal has some fading to the front of the ribbon from light exposure. The original two prong suspension bar is present.
