The swivel bale M1 combat helmet with the M1C paratrooper liner is in very good condition, showing age and use but being intact and making a very good appearance while lacking the airborne web chin cup strap. The web fabric chin strap is present and intact. The Mitchell pattern camouflage helmet cover has a stamped contract number of “9196”, which places it in the mid-1965 time frame. The cover is retained on the helmet by the regulation elastic cover band. The cover shows expected spots and signs of use, particularly where the cover was folded under the edge of the helmet shell, with a small holes in the cover on the front edge. Overall the helmet and cover are in very good condition and they make a fine appearance.
