Untouched Type 90 Japanese Army Helmet with Cover / Net
$2,800.00
An exceptional example of an untouched World War II Japanese Type 90 combat helmet with its original 2nd pattern helmet cover and camouflage net. The cover and net remain firmly in place on the helmet and have not been removed to examine the exterior paint, but the Army star insignia can be felt on the helmet beneath the cover. The interior helmet liner is complete, with the “pillows” behind the leather liner tongues still retaining their filling. The cloth chin strap is complete and intact. There are some typical period repairs to the lowermost edges of the cover, where the covers were often subject to wear fro the relatively sharp edges of the helmet. There are a few broken strands on the camouflage net, but overall the helmet, cover and net are in very good field used condition.
