Untouched and Uncleaned RAD Labor Service Officer Dagger by Carl Eickhorn
The RAD Labor Service officer’s dagger is in a completely untouched and uncleaned state. The blade appears to be generally bright beneath a coat of surface dirt and grime. The blade shows typical runner marks as well as some darker surface spots and cloudy areas. The blade exhibits the “Arbeit adelt” motto, which shows intact burnishing. The reverse ricasso bears the squirrel trademark of the Carl Eickhorn firm. The grip shows dirt and age toning. The grip has a 1-1/8 inch crack on the spine, with a chip at the base of that crack above the ferrule. The pommel, ferrule, and the guard all show a very dark, uncleaned patina. The pommel and the guard both show some spots of plating loss. The scabbard also exhibits a very dark and uncleaned patina except for the areas at the scabbard throat where the scabbard was covered by the dagger guard.
