Unslotted Double Marked Police Dress Bayonet by Alexander Coppel with Frog

The bayonet is approximately 20 inches long, with a blade length of approximately 13 inches. The blade of the bayonet shows spots and smudges, but the blade is generally quite bright. The ricasso is marked on both sides by the Alexander Coppel firm. The stag grip plates are nicely toned and without chips or cracks. The obverse grip bears the aluminum police eagle, showing some surface wear. Both the guard and the eagle head pommel display fine detail and uncleaned patina, with largely intact plated surfaces. The pommel is the solid, unslotted, variety. The black leather scabbard has scuffs and chips to the surface, but it is intact. The black leather frog similarly shows age but it, too, is solid and complete. Overall the bayonet is in very good to excellent condition.
