The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 25 inches, with a blade length of approximately 18-1/2 inches. The blade has a gray cast, with spots, dark areas, and edge nicks. The ricasso bears a crown mark. Both the guard and the scabbard throat bear unit markings. The brass grip, guard, scabbard throat and scabbard drag all show a dark and uncleaned patina. The leather scabbard shows scuffs and flaking but it is complete and intact.
