Uncommon WWII Percy Huff Brass Knuckled Fighting Knife

The knife has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 14 inches, with a blade length of approximately 8-1/4 inches. The blade shows spots and patina. The wood grip has a crack on each side. The brass knuckles guard and the brass pommel cap show an uncleaned patina. The pommel bears the letters “R.M.C.”. The leather sheath exhibits wear and surface dirt, but the stitching is intact and the sheath is complete. Percy R. Huff was a part-time knife maker in Berlin New York, making knives for local GI’s.  The pommel of each displaying the initials of the man for whom the knife was made. On the internet, there is a copy of a newspaper article dated May 31. 1944. stating that Mr Huff had made 90 knives up to that point.
