Uncommon Japanese Edo Period Samurai Deerskin Kashimo – Jacket and Trousers

Rarely encountered Japanese Edo period samauri jacket and trousers fashioned from deerskin with matching checked pattern. The center waist bears a Mons family crest. The trouser has tie closures and button fasteners on the lower legs. Both the trousers and the jacket exhibit signs of wear, use and age, with some holes and separations, but both being largely intact with soft leather.
