U.S. Marine Corps Non Commissioned Officer Sword by Hilborn Hamburger

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 39 inches, with a blade length of approximately 31-1/2 inches. The blade is triple etched, with “United States Marines” and patriotic motifs etched on both sides, and a decorative design etched on the spine. The blade is in overall excellent condition. The ricasso bears the mark of the Hilborn Hamburger firm of New York and marked “Stainless”. The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The grip is covered in leather, showing scuffs, and the grip remains tightly wrapped with twisted brass wire. The brass pierced guard, knuckle bow, and pommel all show spots and uncleaned patina. The leather scabbard exhibits scuffs, particularly on the rear seam. The brass throat fitting and drag show spots and verdigris. The leather belt hanger is attached to the scabbard. Overall excellent condition.
