The khaki shirt is accompanied by an overseas cap. The shirt is marked as a size 15-1/2 by 34 inches, with laundry marks in the collar. The shirt has rank chevrons of a Private First Class on the sleeves as well as the Corps of Engineers red and white shoulder cord, with the red color being somewhat faded. The shoulders carry the clutch back distinctive unit insignia of the 54th Engineer Battalion. On the left shoulder is the shoulder patch of the U.S. Army V Corps, above which is a separate “Germany” arc rendered in silver wire on a red base. The shirt shows soiling from wear and spots, but it is without holes or damage and overall it is in very good condition.
