The blue wool visor cap carries the cap badge of Troop “D” of the Seventh Cavalry Regiment. The surface of the leather visor shows age crazing, and the leather chin strap is broken. The wool body of the cap exhibits spots and tracking. Both the interior leather sweatband and the crown lining are intact. The body of the cap is somewhat misshapen from storage and age.
