The helmet exterior shows spots, surface dirt and verdigris over the field gray paint, which exhibits wear and field use. The right side of the helmet retains the remnants of a decal, while the left side of the helmet bears a toned army eagle decal which is approximately 90 percent intact. The interior side of the helmet has no visible manufacturer code, evidently obscured by the period re-painting of the helmet. The interior leather liner is present, darkly stained from wear and showing typical signs of use and age, but being intact and retaining the drawstring. The helmet is lacking the chin strap. Overall very good field used condition.
