Third Reich German Railway Eagle Berlin Marked and G.I. Anotated

$1,975.00

The eagle has a wingspan of approximately 23-1/2 inches, and measures approximately 13 inches high. The attachment lugs were sawed off when the eagle was removed from a boxcar. The rear of the eagle carries a foundry mark and the designations “LOK 600” and “GAL-Mg. Si”. The eagle also carries and impressed “RZ” mark and the impressed designation of “Berl”. On the reverse of one wing is the written annotation of “Lt. Mabry”, undoubtedly the name of the G.I. who brought the eagle home as a souvenir. The eagle has the expected surface dirt and spots from use, but it is in overall very good condition.
