Third Reich Fire Police Officer Visor Cap

The exterior blue wool body of the cap shows some surface dust and nap wear, but the cap is without holes or damage. The surface of the leather visor exhibits age crazing. The officer who wore the cap removed the wire stiffener from the crown to give the cap a “jaunty” appearance. The interior leather sweatband is intact, showing a bit of stitching loss. The celluloid sweat shield is largely intact, with a maker name and logo beneath it. The red lining is intact, showing some staining from wear and use. Overall the cap is in very good condition and it makes a nice presentation.
