Third Reich Commemorative Porcelain 1936 Olympic Bell with Wooden Display Stand by KPM Porcelain

The porcelain bell stands on a separate wooden base, and it has an overall height of approximately 6 inches, with the bell having a height of approximately 5 inches and a diameter of approximately 4 inches. The piece is a porcelain replica of the Olympic Bell at the Berlin stadium where the 11th Olympic Summer Games took place in 1936. The exterior bottom edge bears the raised declaration of  “Ich rufe die Jugend der Welt” (“I am calling the youth of the world”) and “11. Olympische Spiele Berlin” (“11th Olympic Games Berlin”). The central section of the bell bears the dates 1 -16 August,with the opposite side bearing the date of  1936. The bell also exhibits the relief images of the Brandenburg Gate and as well as an eagle above the Olympic Rings. The porcelain bell-clapper is present and intact. The bell is in excellent condition, without chips or cracks. The bell comes with its original black painted wooden stand, which shows wear to the paint. The interior of the bell has the blue scepter manufacturer mark of KPM (the “Koenigliche Porzellanmanufaktur”, or Royal Porcelain Maker) in Berlin.
