The half liter pottery stein is approximately 5-1/2 inches tall, exclusive of the thumb lift. The stein depicts a machine gun crew in action. The lid displays a relief image of a Model 1916 combat helmet with Third Reich insignia. Infantry Regiment 80 became Grenadier Regiment 80 in 1942 and, as a component of the 34th Infantry Division, it surrendered to the Americans in Italy in 1945. The base is maker marked and the stein is in excellent condition and it is without chips or repairs.
