Circa 1920’s. Approximately 2-3/4 inches wide. Screw back attachment, which the owner placed on the wing after removing the pin back attachment. The reverse is marked as “Sterling” with a maker mark of “B.B. Co.”. The wing has a fine, toned, gilt finish showing uncleaned patina. The FAI was founded in 1905 in France by several countries who recognized a need for a society to oversee the new advances in flight that were then taking place.
