SS General’s Malmedy Massacre Prosecution Sheet

A single page, with applied black and white photograph, which apparently came from the notebook of one of the American prosecutors of the 1946 Malmedy Massacre war crimes trial. The notebook contained a single page for each one of the 73 SS defendants in the trial, displaying their photograph and the charges against them. This is the page for SS Brigadefuhrer Fritz Kraemer, who was the Chief of Staff of SS General Josef “Sepp” Dietrich. Kraemer had received the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross in 1942 as a lieutenant colonel with the army’s 13th panzer division. At the conclusion of the Malmedy trial Kraemer was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. The photograph of Kraemer which is attached to this prosecution sheet shows him wearing his field gray assault gunner uniform which has been stripped of insignia. The page has a bit of age toning but it is in excellent condition.
