SS Dagger with Exclamation Point Motto RZM M7/29

A completely untouched and uncleaned SS enlisted ranks service dagger, maker marked with the RZM code of Klitterman & Moog. The finish of the dagger shows areas of wear, with small areas appearing as almost a light brown color. The wood has some relatively minor indentations in the wood, but there are no cracks. The grip eagle is a nickel version which, like all other components of the dagger, is uncleaned. The runes button is without chips are cracks and is nicely centered. The guards fit the wood grip quite tightly. The uncleaned blade is generally bright, with typical runner marks and a few scattered age smudges. There is a uniform darkening of the “Meine Ehre heist Treue!” motto such that it still presents a quite nice contrast with the blade. The anodized scabbard has lost most all of the black coloration, a characteristic that seems to be entirely typical of these Klitterman & Moog “exclamation point” SS daggers. The nickel scabbard fittings, like the dagger itself, remain uncleaned.
