The medal has a beveled attached suspension ring and a teardrop shaped loop for the ribbon. The ribbon itself is missing. The entire medal exhibits an almost uniformly dark tarnish. The “T” in “Treue” on the reverse exhibits the die flaw that is characteristic of original examples of this award.
