South Carolina Should Belt Plate “Union Light Infantry”

Copper plate with fused gold plate on the face, measures 2 1/2″ X 3 1/8″, engraved with the South Carolina state seal above the letters “ULI”. Face exhibits about 40% original gilt finish, reverse with an undisturbed dark patina. The face shows some scratches and bends.
