Soldbuch of an Army NCO Prisoner of War Camp Guard with Documents

$475.00

The soldbuch was issued Unteroffizier Wilhelm Fieger in 1940, who was serving in Landes Schutzen Battalion 777 and who was assigned to the German Camp for prisoners of war that was designated as “Stalag XII D” and which was located in Trier. The soldbuch photograph reflects that Fieger was a veteran of World War I, since in the identification photograph he wears a ribbon bar reflecting the award of the 1914 Iron Cross Second class and the Hindenburg Front fighter Honor Cross. The soldbuch entries indicate that in February of 1945 Fieger was awarded the 1919 War Merit Cross Second Class. The soldbuch is accompanied by Fieger’s 1935 award document for the Hindenburg Front fighter Honor Cross as well as the 1942 document that reflects his promotion from Unteroffizier to Feldwebel while serving at the camp in Trier. The soldbuch shows age but it is complete and intact. The promotion document has file folder holes, as does the back cover of the soldbuch.
