WWII Japanese Medic’s Bag “As Found” with Contents

$350.00

The leather equipment bag of a World War II Japanese military medic, just as it was found at a Japanese flea market, complete with contents left in the bag since 1945. The bag itself is in very good field used condition. The leather remains pliable. The cover displays the medical Red Cross insignia which is itself a multi piece leather emblem. The bag is quite soiled from field use, and the leather fastening strap that would secure the cover down has torn away from use. The bag remains filled with medical equipment. These items include a white cotton medical mask; a scalpel (very rusty); large tweezers; bandages; and a variety of solutions and powders, with many of the boxes still containing unwrapped glass vials of medicinal solutions. An exceptional array of wartime medical materials still contained within the equipment pouch of a military medic.
