Single Sided Engraved K98 Dress Bayonet by Carl Eickhorn

The bayonet has a bright blade that exhibits only typical minor scratches. The obverse side has the etched “In Memory of My Service Time” dedication scroll, flanked by oak leaves, a closed wing Wehrmacht style eagle, and the design of a combat helmet against crossed rifles. The reverse ricasso shows the classic squirrel trademark of the Eickhorn firm. The leather washer remains in place above the ricasso. The black Bakelite grips are without cracks or chips. The guard and the pommel are bright, with just two small scratches to the plating on the back side of the pommel. The rifle slot contains its original red wool insert. The black scabbard paint is approximately 80% intact. The black patent leather frog is still present and while it shows typical age cracks, it is intact and complete. Overall excellent condition.
