Signed Letter and Rank Insignia of U.S. Navy Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz

The group is comprised of the five star collar insignia and the shoulder boards of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, together with the 1963 signed letter from Nimitz by which he sent the insignia to the recipient. The letter is approximately 8 inches by 8-1/2 inches. The top two corners of the letter have apparently been pasted to a section of textured backing, with the shoulder boards and collar insignia fastened to the backing but easily removed. Overall the set is in excellent condition.
