SA Group Saxony Service Dagger by Malsch & Lambronn

The blade of the dagger shows spots, surface grime and typical runner marks, but the blade is without damage or chips, with visible cross grain. The motto of “Alles fur Deutschland” is etched into the obverse surface of the blade, with good contrast despite a loss of burnishing within the motto. The reverse ricasso bears the uncoomon maker mark of “Malsch & Lambronn”. The nickel silver guards have a nice uncleaned patina. The reverse of the lower guard bears the “Sa” mark of Group Saxony. Both the upper and the lower guards fit the grip quite closely. The obverse grip is inset with a detailed nickel silver eagle, while above this is the enamel SA runes button which shows age and verdigris but which is without damage. The grip shows age, with a small chip to the lower reverse center, but otherwise the grip has a fine medium color. The finish of the painted scabbard shows scuffs and wear, but the paint is largely intact. The nickel silver scabbard fittings are bright. Overall very good condition.
