The wooden barrel canteen is approximately 7-1/4 inches in diameter and approximately 5-1/4 inches wide. The canteen is constructed of wooden staves bound by raised wooden hoops and having wire strap loops for a carrying handle or shoulder sling. The canteen has a raised metal-reinforced bung spout on the top which is fitted with a cork stopper. The canteen exhibits scratches and indentations, but the canteen is without damage or repairs. Overall the canteen is in very good condition.
