Revolutionary War British Brown Bess Bayonet

This Revolutionary War period socket bayonet for the British “Brown Bess” musket was recently found in a house in Vermont. The weapon has a triangular blade, approximately 16 1/4 inches long, with the bayonet having an overall length of 21 1/2 inches long. There is surface rust to the piece that encompasses both the blade and the socket, but the bayonet is complete, intact, and the surface rust does not impact on the structural integrity of the bayonet, which remains solid and complete.
